Can I get a pawn loan without collateral?

A pawn loan is only possible with collateral. However, at CASHY you have many options for taking out a pawn loan. We accept a wide range of pawned items, such as electronics, jewelry, designer bags, tools, cars and much more.

Are there any items that I cannot use as collateral for a loan with CASHY?

Accepted Answer

Items such as clothing, furniture, bulky goods (washing machines, refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers) or weapons cannot be pawned or sold at CASHY.

How does the shipping of my item work and are there any costs involved?

If you would like to send your collateral to us, the fee for this is €5.00

We will send you an address label for shipping your parcel by email.

What happens if my collateral is damaged during transportation?

The shipping company is liable for a maximum of EUR 520 if your collateral is damaged during transport. To ensure that you are always on the safe side, you should make sure to pack your collateral carefully or bring it directly to our store. Please contact us if you would like to insure your collateral additionally.

Where will my collateral be stored during the term of the pawn loan?

We keep your collateral safe for you in our video-monitored warehouse during the loan term. In addition, your collateral is insured for 1.5 times its value while it is stored by us.

Is my collateral insured during the term of my pawn loan?

Accepted Answer

While your pawn loan is running and your collateral is stored at CASHY, it is insured for 1.5 times the value of the device.

How long do I have to repay my pawn loan?

Accepted Answer

The term of a pawn loan can be between one month and three months and can be extended at any time if required. After the expiry of your pawn loan and a 4-week grace period, your collateral will be liquidated in your best interest. You will receive three notifications until your collateral is liquidated by CASHY. If the proceeds from the liquidation exceed your outstanding loan amount, you will be paid out the surplus. However, if the liquidation proceeds are lower than the outstanding amount, you are no longer liable to pay. This means there is no additional risk for you.

Can I extend a pawn loan for my collateral? What fees are involved?

Accepted Answer

If you extend your pawn loan, you will be charged a small partial amount. This is made up of the interest and fees that have accrued up to the date of the extension. You can also check your fees online in your account at any time.

If the value of your collateral has fallen sharply during the collateral loan term, you must make a corresponding partial repayment.

How do I get my collateral back once I have repaid the pawn loan?

If you repay the outstanding amount in our store, you will receive your collateral back immediately. If you repay the amount online, you can choose whether you want to collect your item from the store or have it sent back to you.

What personal data do I need to provide to take out a pawn loan?

CASHY only requires an official photo ID from you if you want to take out a pawn loan.

Will I be paid out the surplus if I cannot redeem my item?

Accepted Answer

If you are unable to repay the amount borrowed for your collateral and are unable to extend your pawn loan, your item will be auctioned off. If the proceeds exceed the amount of your pawn loan plus fees, you will of course be paid out the difference.

How can I have my money paid out?

You can have the money for your item paid out in cash or as a transfer to your PayPal or bank account. Due to the Money Laundering Act, cash payouts are possible up to a maximum of EUR 9,999. For higher payout amounts, the difference will be transferred to your account.
