If you want to turn your laptop into cash but don't want to sell it, you can go to a pawn shop. There you will receive a quick pay out for a partial value of your device and can get it back later. The value is based on the make and model, the condition and performance of your device and the market demand. When making your request, also state whether accessories or original packaging are available. This can increase the value.
Make & model: First select the make and model of your laptop. Then enter all the important information about your device in the form.
Windows users: You can find your data in the Start menu, but you can also press the Windows key and "I". Go to "System" and then to "About". There you will find all the information such as the processor type, the installed RAM, the device name and the current Windows version. To find even more detailed information, you can also click on "Device Manager" in the Start menu.
Mac users: Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of the screen and click on "About this Mac". There you will find all the information about your processor, memory, graphics card and more.
If you are unable to access the information on your device, you can also look in the user manual or on the original packaging. You can also often find all the important information on the manufacturer's website.
Condition: In order to make a realistic offer for your laptop, it is important to be as truthful as possible about its condition. This applies both to the device itself (scratches, other damage) and to the functionality of your laptop. In the description, you will find which external features represent which condition. Please state this point correctly so that there are no delays in paying out your pawn loan.
Pictures: In order to check the condition, we need detailed and meaningful photos of your laptop. Please upload at least 3 photos and make sure you have photographed all views of your device once.
Before you bring your laptop to the store or send it to us by post, it is important to back up and delete your data. It is best to reset the device to factory settings to protect your personal information.
Clean your laptop before you hand it over as a deposit and check again that you have stated the condition correctly. Your device must be fully functional in order to exchange it for a pawn loan.
If you have decided to hand over your laptop in the store, you can collect your money in cash or by bank transfer with an ID. Your laptop will remain safely stored in our warehouse for the duration of your pawn loan and will not be used.
If you have opted for shipping, you will receive a shipping label from us. Make sure that your laptop is well packed, as the shipping service provider will only be liable for any damage if something happens to your package.
There are many situations in which a pawn loan can make sense:
You get money immediately for financial bottlenecks. When selling, you often have to wait for an interested party first.
If you pay back your pawn loan, you will get your laptop back immediately.
You get your loan without having to check your finances, so a pawn loan has no impact on your credit score.
You don't have to wait for a lengthy process. With a pawn loan from CASHY, you can receive your money on the same day.
You remain debt-free in the long term. If you are unable to repay your loan, your device will be auctioned off, but your pawn loan will also be paid off. It doesn't matter if we get less money for your laptop than we paid out to you.
However, if we have more money left for your device after an auction minus fees, you will be paid out the difference directly.
